ABU DHABI — IPL franchises completed their squads Tuesday after the IPL 2026 auction ended in Abu Dhabi, with all 10 teams finalizing 25-player rosters ahead of the upcoming season.
Kolkata Knight Riders made the biggest purchase of the auction, signing Australia all-rounder Cameron Green for ₹25.20 crore. The bid was the highest of the two-day event.
Sri Lanka fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana was another major buy, going for ₹18 crore. Chennai Super Kings spent heavily on uncapped Indian players, securing Kartik Sharma and Prashant Veer for ₹14.20 crore each.
Punjab Kings added England batter Liam Livingstone for ₹13 crore and also picked up wicketkeeper Josh Inglis for ₹8.60 crore. Bangladesh seamer Mustafizur Rahman was sold for ₹9.20 crore.
Delhi Capitals signed fast bowler Auqib Nabi Dar for ₹8.40 crore. Several teams focused on depth signings later in the auction, filling remaining slots at base price.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru entered the auction after retaining 17 players, including Virat Kohli. The franchise added a handful of players during the bidding to complete its squad.
Teams were limited to a maximum of eight overseas players. All franchises finished the auction with full rosters.
The IPL 2026 season is scheduled to begin in March.
